Consolation
Consolation means to comfort someone during his or her time of mourning, loss of loved one, stressful sitations, divorce or during anxious times. Today, we live in a society where you can look around and find someone who needs to be comforted. Each of us have loved ones who are sick or in the process of leaving this world to enter into eternity. How can we really offer them comfort unless we truly understand what it is like to be close to death. It is not easy to show comfort to someone when you have never experienced the same situations. God uses each of us to minister to those who are where we have been. Only true comfort during these times can come from Christ. One day soon each of us may lose a loved one we hold very near and dear, then we will need the same consolation from those around us and Christ. We read in Job where he lost his family, his livestock, his friends and everyone around him mocked him. His friends did not come to console him but to put more on him. Yet, Job did not put his trust in his friends, but he relied upon the Lord to comfort him. Job stated, "I will not curse God and die but why should I only accept the good from God and not the evil (Job 2:10)." Several years ago, a close friend of mine lost her mother and I wanted to comfort her but I did not understand the lost she felt until I lost my dad. Now, I know the lost of losing a parent. We can show comfort to those around us by listening, crying with them, preparing a meal, running errands, sitting with children and many other ways. Let us seek out those that are in need of being comforted so we can lift up the Name of Jesus to them. In Psalm 23:4 the Lord tell us, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." As we reach out to comfort those who are hurting let us remember that God's word brings comfort to those who seek Him and will draw nigh unto Him. Let us tell others God truly understands the situation and will offer them comfort and He will lift that heavy burden. As Psalm 119:50 states, "This is my comfort in my affliction, for thy word hath quickened me." Isaiah 49:13 states, "Sing, O heavens and be joyful, O earth and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people and will have mercy upon His afflicted. Thank God for His grace which offers each of us comfort in the time of need. (Written 6/24/08)
Be Filled in the Spirit
This was written on October 24, 2002 - Today is an exciting and wonderful day for me. Today is my 9th birthday in serving the Lord. I know that the angel's in heaven are throwing me a Big Party for I have withstood the testing and trying of my faith for 9 years and have remained faithful to the Lord. Oh, what a blessed day this is for me. For I was lost and undone without Christ and today I celebrate His wonderful love He has lavished on me. I thank Him for all He has done for me and all He has ahead for me. May I draw closer to Him in the years to come and be a vessel that is totally surrendered unto Him. As I was reading and praying this morning I felt the Lord speak to me and I wrote down His words. I pray that this will minister to you as it did me.
It is time for my children to begin to go out and compel others to come in. A time is coming when they will not endure sound doctrine. Many are hungry and seeking a move of God and will not find it unles they begin to move out into the Spiritual realm. The Spirit is where you will find peace and joy. When you begin to give out you will be blessed spiritually. That longing you are seeking will be filled with my Spirit saith the Lord. Your vessel is cracked and needs to be mended come unto me and I will mend it. I am the Potter and you are the clay. The Potter is desiring to mold the clay into His image. Go out and begin to speak my word to those around you for my word will not return void and it accomplish that which I have set forth. Come and be that tree that is planted by the waters which receives my living water to overflowing. Listen to me as I speak and be obedient unto what I say. Hearken to my words and begin to move out into the Spiritual realm and begin to deny those fleshly desires. Walk in the boldness of the Lord and proclaim my word. I have come to give life and more abundant life. My children's desires should be to draw closer to me that I will draw closer to them. The things of this world are passing away and will not fulfill their longing. Only I can fill that longing in their soul, I am the Bread of Life. Come and feast at my table where there is living water to satisfy your longings.
Give and it shall be given back to you, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38

The River of Life
Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and He will direct our steps when we surrender our all to Him. Oh what a blessed peace awaits those who fully put their trust and their lives into His hands. Peace like a river that shall never run dry. Will we walk in dry places today or will we walk by the river and have peace that surpasses all understanding? I love to sit by the river and meditate on how good GOD is and remember all the times He has been faithful and has brought me through those dry places. The River of Life lives in me! Do you have the River of Life living inside of you? Oh, what peace, love and joy will fill you when He resides in you. Call upon Him today for He is standing at the door calling out to all, Come and Dine the Master calls!
