Gift

Did you receive that perfect gift that you wanted for Christmas?  Did you purchase that perfect gift for someone?  Have you ever seen something that you thought you could not live without but when you received the item it wasn’t what you thought it was going to be?  You had your hopes up that it was going to be the best massage chair, hammer, coffee maker or any other item that you just had to have.  Have you went shopping and fell in love with an item and thought this would be a perfect gift for my husband, wife or children?  You couldn’t wait to give them this perfect gift and see the expression on their faces and when they opened the gift they looked at you like what in the world is this?  So many times people look for satisfaction in gifts or things that they think will satisfy that longing deep in their souls.  Many have tried drugs, alcohol and other worldly pleasures to fulfill the emptiness that is deep within them.  Only when we receive the gift of Salvation from our Lord and Savior can we fill the emptiness and longing in our soul.  The only perfect gift is the gift of Salvation.  Jesus has planted in each of us an emptiness that will remain empty until we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  When we repent and accept Jesus in our lives that emptiness is filled with love from the Father.  All that emptiness, longing and loneliness is filled with such a love that you want to run out and tell everyone that Jesus came into your life and has changed you.  No other gift can fully satisfy us and fill the empty spaces in our lives.  Jesus is our Savior, our Redeemer, our Deliverer and our Strength.  No matter what this life has given to you, you have a right to say no more and turn to Jesus for new life.  Many have been without the gift of Jesus in their lives and when you look around you see so many that are unhappy and seeking to find fulfillment in something.  Look no more; for Jesus is here for all that seek Him.  The greatest gift we can give to our loved ones and those around is to tell them the Good News of Jesus and how He came and died on Calvary that we all can be saved and have new life.  We are required to tell others that Jesus loves them.  It is up to them to choose Jesus.  When they see Jesus in us there will be a drawing to the Lord because the Lord says some plant, some water but He causes the increase.  No greater love hath any man than that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17 Look no more; for Jesus is all you need, He is the perfect GIFT, he will bring new life in your life and old things will pass away.
