Reality

What is reality and what does it mean to us as Christians?  Reality is that we serve a God who is real and who came and shed his blood on Calvary for us.  Jesus states in His word that He came that all might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).  To know that Christ has offered us life and that when we die here that life for us will only be beginning.  At this time, we will put off the mortal body and put on immortality. What a blessed day it will be for each of us when we get to see the One who died for us, when we can see Jesus face to face.  Reality for those who do not know Christ will be torment.  We live in a real world where people around us do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior of their life.  All around us there are souls that are dying without Christ.  Jesus said that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37).  Let us begin to pray and seek the Lord for doors to be opened every day in our lives that He will send us out in the harvest field to those who need Him.  Let us become soul hungry to reach out and touch our family member, our neighbor, co-workers or the cashier where we shop so that they will know that Jesus loves them and He died on Calvary for them.  Reality is that this world is winding down and we as God’s children must be ready in season and out of season to minister to those around us.  At any moment, God could call us home and those around us that are lost will be left behind.  My heartbreaks knowing that one of my loved ones, friends or neighbor may spend eternity in hell because I did not speak to them about the Lord or that my life was not a witness to them of how Christ has changed me.  Their blood will be on our hands if we do not sound the trumpet warning them that judgment is coming and that Christ is coming after His church.  The signs of the times are everywhere, let us begin to sound the trumpet and stand up and proclaim that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no man can enter heaven unless he comes through the Blood of the Lamb.
