We are facing times where our trust and obedience to the Lord is being tested. We pray and trust that God will answer our prayers. We don’t know how but we trust Him and His word. For years, I prayed that my dad would be saved before he breathed his last breath. When he was sick, I heard the Lord tell me to go to his bedside and ask him if he wanted to make the Lord, Lord of his life. When I went and asked my dad, he stated yes and he prayed the sinner’s prayer that night. He accepted Christ and the next day my dad’s mind was not there. The Lord had opened the window of opportunity and he required obedience on my part to do that which he had required of me. My dad did go home to be with the Lord and I thank God for answering my prayer. To trust the Lord when we don’t see how it is going to work out means that we must also be obedient because God says in his word that obedience is better than sacrifice. When God tells us to trust Him and commit all our ways unto Him that means we must lay aside our unbelief and worries. Obedience is not something that comes easy for us but the Lord tells us to cast all our cares upon him for he cares for us. No matter what you are facing rather it be sickness, loneliness, family problems, problems on the job or with children, pray trusting that God is in control of every situation and that he will work all things for our good to those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. Trusting in the Lord brings peace and an assurance that God is in control of every situation that I face. I have walked through many deserts but God has never left me and during those times my trust in Him was put to the test but he brought me through. My obedience to the Father is crucial in these last days. Let us not waver in our trust and obedience to the Lord.
