Preparation

As I was getting dressed for church last Sunday and preparing myself to come in with an attitude of worship and thanksgiving, there was a fly that kept flying in front of me. I tried several times to kill the fly but without any success. It was becoming a nuisance and I said to the fly when I get home your life is going to be very short. Of course, the fly did not pay any attention to me and continued to pester and irritate me. I felt the Lord impress on my heart that the devil comes around just like this fly to irritate and distract us. How many times have we allowed the devil to distract us like this fly? Yet, when the devil comes around like a roaring lion seeking our life and causing us to have attitudes, bringing confusion, family problems, worry and sickness. We must be wise to the tactics of the devil and not forget that we are Children of the King and there is Power in the Name of Jesus. We do not have to allow the devil to irritate, pester and annoy us. We can speak IN JESUS NAME YOU MUST FLEE, GET THEE BEHIND ME Satan, THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB COVERS MY LIFE AND NO SICKNESS or DISEASE WILL COME NIGH MY DWELLING. The closer we get to the Lord coming to take us home the devil is angry at us and is going to try anything he can to distract us or destroy our testimonies. Let us begin to say when we feel we are getting a bad attitude, family problems arise, or we are in the midst of confusion, or sickness begins let us begin to Speak the Name of JESUS and begin to WORSHIP AND MAGNIFY HIS NAME. Go find our HOLY swatter and begin to hit the devil and tell him that he is not allowed in our midst because the BLOOD OF THE LAMB is our protector and our healer. Praise God we do not have to allow the devil to stay but we can SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD AND he runs. How many times do we allow the devil to distract us by the things that come against us? For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 Let us put on the full armor of God and win this battle for the Lord.
