Salvation
The word salvation means deliverance from the power or penalty of sin. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name as JESUS under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) The only way that we can receive Salvation is from our heavenly Father, who came and gave His life for ours. What a blessed gift it is to know that Jesus came and willing sacrificed his precious blood that I could receive salvation from Him and that He loved me enough to be my redemption. Before salvation was received in my life I lived a life of sin and had no knowledge that a better life awaited me. I can remember the day the preacher was preaching the message of God’s word and said if I wanted to accept Jesus into my life that this salvation could be mine. When the altar call was given I stood there with my heart breaking because the Holy Spirit was dealing with me concerning the sin in my life. The tears were flowing down my face and I ran to the altar to repent and ask God to come into my heart and change me. That day at the altar I repented of my sins and the lifestyle I was living and oh what joy flooded my soul. Never had I known such peace and joy because when I got up from the altar that day I was a changed person. I tell you when I received Jesus into my heart and received salvation that day there was a joy that filled my life. It was joy unspeakable and full of glory. Since that day, my life has changed drastically, those things I used to be are no longer there and my attitude has become one of thanksgiving for each day and each blessing that I am given. So you see salvation has brought to me a new meaning to my life. Jesus is the rock on which I stand and He is my salvation. His word tells me every day I am to clothe myself with the Helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit; which is the word of God and meditate upon His word and to think on those things that bring glory and honor to Him. (Ephesians 6:17) Now when I see those who are hurting and walking in sin I tell them of my experiences and how the Lord changed me and gave to me His wonderful salvation. I am so thankful that I am a Child of the King and that salvation was imparted to me 14 years ago.
