Survivor

Are you ready to be a survivor?  If they came to arrest us and put us in prison or walked into the church and began shooting how would you respond?  Would you try to overtake the shooter or run from the police who were taking you to prison?  Would you be pleading your case before them saying you have the wrong person, let me call so and so and they will tell you that I am not the person you are seeking.  Do you remember in the movie the Hiding Place when the Nazi’s came and took Corrie Ten Boom’s family?  They placed their trust and faith in the Lord.  How would we respond if the same thing that happened to Corrie ten Boom happened today?  Corrie ten Boom had a powerful testimony from her ordeal and how God transformed her life during this time.  When they came to arrest Jesus, he went willingly.  Jesus did not put up a fight but even healed the soldier whose ear was cut off.  Jesus knew that this was in His Father’s plan for His life.  The word tells in Luke 21:12 – They shall lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for His name sake, and it shall turn for us as a testimony.  Do we have enough faith and trust in the Lord to stand and not waver?  In the midst of being placed in prison would our lives be a testimony to those around us that God is still in control or would we become angry?  Do we know how to reach Jesus and get into the presence of the Lord for the strength to make it through such a traumatic experience?  During, these times we must know how to stand still and hear the voice of God.  When something like this happens if we don’t know how to be quiet and remain calm we will miss out on hearing from the Lord.  Now is the time to sit quiet before the Lord to listen to his small still voice as he leads and guides us in the paths He has set before us.  We are always rushing around and have so many things to do that we run in and pray then we rush right back out and miss hearing God’s voice. We must remain quiet and allow the presence of the Lord to fill us so that His glory will be seen in our quietness and stillness.  Be ye renewed by allowing the Holy Spirit to transform your mind in Christ Jesus.  How resolute are you?  Are we ready to suffer or are we willing to suffer?  Jesus told us we are to pick up our cross and follow him daily.  Do you have the skills to be a survivor and hear the voice of God for strength during the battle?  Be Still and Know that I am God!  Psalm 46:10
